The Micklegate Run
Well I said I wouldn’t post but needless to say, since I’ve got a five hour train journey back to Kent and I’m sitting next to a hen party who are getting RIOTOUSLY DRUNK at 8.30 in the morning - so I might as well. Thanks to the magic of Twitter I was able to alert my followers to my pain - whereby my trusty correspondent @nipnapshite informed me that the girls were probably going to get off at York to go on the notorious Micklegate Run which they duly did.
The show at the Sage Gateshead went well last night - slightly marred by a suspect package being found half an hour before we went onstage, which meant the building was evacuated and thus delayed the show by 15 minutes. We were told by Sage staff to say it was a fire alarm not a BOMB (which it wasn’t).
A fan handed Dave a piece of paper at the end of the show which I thought was very touching - its from a Kurt Vonnegut poem and I didn’t know it.
The Sage is a beautiful venue and the views over Newcastle are stunning
